Suzie Quatro大約7、8歲時即已在父親的爵士樂團中演奏打擊樂器。1964，14歲時參加由姊姊Patti所組成的全女性車庫搖滾樂隊Pleasure Seekers，兼任歌唱及彈奏貝士。1971被英國唱片製作人Mickie Most相中赴英發展，原想以其取代之前因吸食海洛因過量死亡的搖滾女歌手Janis Joplin ( 27歲 )所遺下的空缺，但Quartro寧願做一個新的自己。

1973，Suzie Quatro終於以一首《Can the Can》在英、澳、德、瑞士奪得排行榜的冠軍，緊接著又有多首的熱門曲。1978，與英國Smokie樂團的主唱Chris Norman合唱的一首《Stumblin' In》，在美國排行榜獲得第4名，此也使得Suzie Quatro名副其實的成為「國際級」的歌手。

Suzie Quatro的舞台造型喜歡穿著連身皮衣，彈著貝士又唱又跳。此不禁讓人連想到在1964以一首《As Tears Go By》成名的英國女歌手Marianne Faithfull，後於1968與法國第一美男子Alain Delon ( 亞蘭德倫 ) 合演的電影《Girl on a Motorcycle》( 台譯：愛你、想你、恨你 )，即是全身黑皮衣造型，且似未穿內衣，令人遐思。

Suzie Quatro打破了以往搖滾樂團均為男性主導的天下 ( 也曾有過女搖滾樂手，但僅限於「地區性」的車庫樂隊—Garage Band )，成為了女搖滾樂手的先驅，影響了後來的女性搖滾樂團像是The Runways等。

此曲收錄在Quartro於2021的專輯《The Devil in Me》中，有否發行實體CD或只是網路發行，未有確切的資訊。Quartro的故鄉是底特律，也是眾知的「Motor City」，Quartro是否自喻為Rider，同時也是個Survivor，則由聽歌者自行去想像了。另，Quartro目前已73歲了，仍活躍於舞台上，著實令人佩服。
