此曲為Seals & Crofts這個二重唱團體自寫自唱的歌曲，1972獲得告示牌流行單曲排行榜的第6名。

歌曲中的主要歌詞 ---「Blowing through the jasmine in my mind」，jasmine是茉莉花，也是在夏天盛開的花。藉由茉莉花香，將70年代的往日情懷吹進每個人的心中。Seals & Crofts都是Baha'i faith ( 巴哈伊信仰 ) 的信徒，此信仰以往被稱為「大同教」，是因譯者以該信仰的終極理想是「世界大同」而為之。作曲者欲以簡單的生活來營造一種和諧幸福的氛圍，但在許多人聽來，覺得是因憂慮未來的不確定性，而懷念起往日純樸生活的美好，認為是一首撫慰人心的歌曲。

想來是為了顯現歌曲純樸怡然的意境，在伴奏的樂器中使用了兒童鋼琴 ( Toy Piano )，也確為頗有創意之舉。( 或為兒童電子鍵盤？聽不太出來。)

2013年，這首《Summer Breeze》在「滾石雜誌」歷來最佳關於夏天的歌中排名第13。
