2017，美國鄉村女歌手Rhonda Vincent與男歌手Daryle Singletary合發了一張專輯《American Grandstand》，專輯中的歌曲幾乎都是翻唱之前一些知名歌手男女對唱的經典歌曲，像是George Jones & Tammy Wynette的《One》、Loretta Lyne & Conway Twitty的《After The Fire Is Gone》及Merle Haggard & Bonnie Owens的《Slowly But Surely》等，屬於Rhonda Vincent自己的歌只有兩首，其中之一即為與專輯同名的《American Grandstand》。專輯賣得不錯並在告示牌藍草 ( Bluegrass ) 專輯排行榜奪得了第一。

Rhonda Vincent於幼年時即參加了家庭樂隊The Sally Mountain Show，上個世紀的70、80年代，開始在藍草音樂流派中取得成功，並被媒體多次以「Queen of Bluegrass」稱呼她。Daryle Singletary曾與Rhonda同個唱片公司而相識，論年齡、音樂資歷及成就，均都差了Rhonda一些，2017與Rhonda的合唱專輯，使得其在樂壇的名聲更向上躍升了一些，不幸的是在次年 ( 2018 )，Daryle Singletary意外的在家中過世，死因並未透露，僅享年46歲。

看來這是一首男女分手的歌曲，倆人也像是「表演者」，不太瞭解的是為何用的字彙是觀眾坐的Grandstand ( 看台 ) 而非表演者的Stage ( 舞台 )？或許想表達的是在眾目睽睽下的難堪分手。
