此曲為美國樂團The Cars的主唱兼旋律吉他手Ric Ocasek所寫，收錄在1978與樂團同名的首張專輯中，並作為第2首單曲發行，成績不差，在告示牌排行榜達到第35名，另在英國單曲榜則為第2名，算是The Cars打響名號的歌曲之一。

寫歌的Ocasek後來告知，創作此曲時並未受到任何個人事件的啟發，歌中所敘的情況，也未發生在他個人身上，只是覺得女友被「偷」了，可能是許多人都遭遇過的事。看歌名，很容易聯想到是喜歡上了自己好友的女朋友，不過，作者戲劇性的加了一句：She used to be mine！看來是這位自己曾經的女友移情別戀了。

音樂評論家普遍對這首歌給予好評，〈告示牌雜誌〉將這首歌描述為「旋律優美的青年搖滾樂，使用朗朗上口的掌聲，營造出1960年代早期歌曲的感覺」。〈錢櫃〉說「吉他作品是衍生的，但熱情令人耳目一新」。〈All Music〉則稱這是The Cars歌曲目錄中的經典之一。
