Pussycat是荷蘭樂團，最初是由Toni、Betty和Marianne三姐妹所組成。之後，由於流行曲風改變為打擊 ( 重 ) 節奏，再加入了朋友Tonny Jeroense ( 鼓手 )， 取團名為The BGs ( 或是 The Beat Girls from Holland )，由於她們經常演唱澳洲樂團The Bee Gees和Motown的歌曲，而被視為是荷蘭的The Bee Gees。

其實，樂團於1963成立之時，三姐妹才分別為10、11和12歲，她們的吉他老師Werner Theunissen覺得她們頗有天份，還將他的處女歌《Bitte, Bitte, Liebe Mich》給了她們，而這只是Werner和三姐妹緣份的開始。1973，樂團改組，除了由Werner領軍，另加入了吉他手Lou Willé ( 後與Toni結為夫妻 ) 及鼓手Hans Lutjens，並改團名為Sweet Reaction。雖然接下來發行的兩首單曲還算成功，但此時似乎急需要改團名，在第三首單曲《Daddy》發行時，在唱片封套團名下已明顯看到有Now Pussycat字樣。

1975，EMI Bovema唱片公司即是以Pussycat與該團簽約，同年發行的單曲《Mississippi》拿下了包含英、德、荷、比等八個國家排行榜的冠軍，並估計唱片狂賣超過了500萬張。此曲為Werner Theunissen於1969所寫，當時的靈感為來自於The Bee Gees的歌曲《Massachusetts》，由於曲風過於鄉村，一直都未拿出來，結果在提交給EMI的demo帶中被製作人選中。此曲不僅是Pussycat的成名曲，時至今日，Pussycat和《Mississippi》仍幾乎是相互的連想詞。

本首《Georgie》同樣是Werner Theunissen的作品，為繼《Mississippi》之後於1976所發行的單曲，成績亦相當的亮眼，也在荷蘭的排行榜奪得了冠軍。
