老歌亂談（五十五）Save the last dance for me

一首好聽的經典歌曲，總是會被其他的歌手拿去翻唱，只沒想到的是，翻唱這首《Save the last dance for me》的知名歌星竟然是如此的多，有我說她唱歌像「空靈」的Emmylou Harris，還有Dolly Parton、Paul Anka、Tom Jones………，甚至連The Beatles都來上一小段Rocker版。這不禁讓我懷疑，歌曲的旋律優美及歌詞的意境佳是一回事，而這「最後一支舞」，在美國的生活文化中，恐怕是有其特殊的含意。

 

這首歌的原唱The Drifters（漂流者樂團）從1953成立，雖然之間團員有所更迭，但直至2013仍未解散，是當今世上最長壽的樂團。他們的另一首《Under the boardwalk》也不錯聽。而團員之一的Ben E. King所唱的《Stand By Me》，不知為何，前些年在台灣忽然又再度爆紅。

 

看歌詞，似乎是只要女孩願跳最後一支舞，就表示有機會可以送(帶？)她回家？哈哈，我覺得女孩選擇跳最後一舞的，應該是全場她最喜歡的男生吧！對男生而言，競爭之後，那種「最後屬於我」的感覺真的會是很棒。

 

各演唱者的版本各有千秋，都值得欣賞，但是我喜歡這個版本，因歌曲片尾的那一幕太棒了。

小天使沒來，大天使倒是常來。除了做家戶訪視還擔任歌詞義工哩，這讓老阿狗感激零涕之外，也不知該何以為……抱，喔，是報。阿今天是婦女節，那就祝酷媽佳節愉快好了。哈哈哈！
