[演出訊息]The Stone （石頭）



昨天在Royal Court Theatre看的一齣戲。


THE STONE
劇作家：Marius von Mayenburg

演出日期：二月五日至二月二十八日

這一系列作品是Royal Court所舉辦的第一屆國際劇作家計畫（International Playwrights: A Genesis Project） 
 
「隱藏在這發霉發臭的廢棄物底下，這是我的家。我熟知每一顆石頭。」
 
1935年:一對年輕的伴侶從一個猶太家庭手中買了這間房子，自始故事開始。
1953年:這一對伴侶的女兒發現了一顆石頭。
1978年:猶太家庭的後裔回到這間屋子宣稱他們的主權。
1993年:這間房子回歸它所該歸屬的地方。

當房子的所有權不斷遞移，一代接著一代，埋藏在花園底下和從牆裡滲透出的祕密，終將顯露。
 
Marius von Mayenburg 的新作品重新檢視了德國近六十年的歷史回響。
 
德意志聯邦共和國成立第六十年，柏林圍牆倒榻也二十年了。
Royal Court推出Off The Wall系列，呈現德國新一代的劇作家作品。包括Mark Ravenhill的Over There（曾經寫過Shoot/Get Treasure/Repeat, Pool (No Water), Shopping and F***ing）還有一系列的讀劇活動。

設計：Johannes Schutz
主要演員：Linda Bassett, Loo Brealey, Jonathan Cullen, Amanda Drew, Justine Mitchell, Helen Schlesinger.
 
簡評：
歷史議題總是有說不完的情愁，劇作家聰明地選擇一間房子的主權遞移，表達初東西德的分離，戰爭的無奈，種族的迫害，不煽情卻又深刻。

由於本劇的表演場景時間線相當跳躍；建議不習慣觀賞劇場的朋友先閱讀劇本（我自己是先看了劇本，然而我懷疑要是我沒有看我到底看不看得懂？）

劇場的功能是看完本齣戲之後最大的感觸，我們台灣人有沒有作屬於我們自己的故事？（編按：呃...人間條件啊！暗戀桃花源啊？）我們每一個世代都有屬於自己的歷史故事，透過不同世代的眼睛，看待過往的歷史，重新檢視，回顧，對這個社會來講是具有相當指標的意義；光是這一點，就要給Royal Court鼓鼓掌！

舞台設計相當簡約疏離，大白牆和天花板，乾淨線條的傢具，唯一個燈光變化就是兩次Black Out；考驗演員轉化年紀和場景的能力，表演相當歐洲內陸！（不知道怎麼解釋，很德國那一派！嘿嘿。）

come on, if we spend more time hitting the books instead of getting all moody and shit, you could actually be some sad intern sitting in the basement learning some obscure local African/Carribbean dialect of our last 4 (or 5?) diplomatic buddies waiting for handouts while I stays in my own basement at some lab struggling with some obscure research around subatomic spin of helium at 3.298383 kelvin....

I actually found all 3 DVD sets in HuaLiang by the end of my August trip. 15 years removed, it was 四郎探母 that almost brought me to tears. Went into a funk after finishing it in Taipei the last night before I got back...
