芭芭拉荷西所飾演知書答禮的女孩希拉蕊( Hillary) ，
貝蒂米勒飾演小歌女Sisi 西西，兩個家世背景極度不同的女孩，
小時候在大西洋城的一個沙灘偶然邂逅，通信多年後兩人再度相逢，
雙雙也同時陷入愛河，希拉蕊嫁給跟她相配的律師，西西嫁給音樂
製作人。幾年後，兩人卻落得離婚的下場，結果希拉蕊得了癌症，
兩人化解前怨重修舊好，希拉蕊臨終前託付西西，答應她的遺願，
撫養她的女兒…
一部好的電影也許它的主題曲不是很響亮，但是一首好的電影主題曲
絕對可以使一部不怎麼樣的電影有加分效果, ”無盡的愛 ”
（Endless Love）就是個好例子。
【情比姐妹深】就因為有了好聽的主題曲及插曲，全片從煽情變成感動。電影的一開始，就是在排練演唱會的西西接到希拉蕊病危的消息，開車前往探望，路途中回想過去的往事展開故事…
【情比姐妹深】西西和希拉蕊這兩個對比的角色，增加了不少耐人尋味的個性上懸殊，也發展出如此珍貴的友誼！同名原著小說的西西改成歌手角色，也讓貝蒂米勒在電影裡展盡了她的歌舞天份，甚至可以說這部電影及原聲帶，若沒有貝蒂米勒絕對是走味的份。
由於西西的身份是歌手，導演蓋瑞馬歇爾安排了許多歌舞場面讓貝蒂米勒
表演，像是「Otto Titsling」用歌舞鬧劇來詼諧諷刺女人的胸罩史「Oh！Industry」用低調電氣音樂來講工業革命的影響，這兩首貝蒂米勒參與製作的單曲都有著百老匯的味道。
此外，原聲帶裡歌曲雖然有許多翻唱曲，但是不論新舊隻隻動聽，從30年代的百老匯名曲(「The Glory of Love」)、40年代爵士樂 (「I`ve Still Got My Health」)、60年代的老歌 (「Under The Boardwalk」)，到八十年代的流行R&B「I Know You By Heart」)，貝蒂米勒信手捻來似乎無歌不唱，屬於搖滾樂及藍調實力派。

起因是忽然有一天，她們收到一張喪禮通知，是原先四個好友中，於
大學時候經常在一起談天說地的其中之一，而且是以自殺來結束生命，
這聽來可真是非常震駭！做為女人，好像畢業以後各自有了家庭，忙得
少有時間再跟老朋友聯絡，誰知感情、婚姻是這麼脆弱，說要走，怎麼
靜悄悄，連一聲再會也沒有說.....
說她們瘋狂也並不瘋狂，可以說她們是三個聰明的女人，設計讓她們的
老公無話可說，只好掏出一大筆錢給她們做離婚贍養費，她們也很懂得
利用這筆錢，還創造出另一番事業呢！
我很喜歡她！
