近期由於日夜溫差大，影響雞隻產蛋效率，再加上農曆年節前需求暢旺，以致雞蛋供應出現短期性缺口，不僅超市、量販店一上架盒裝洗選蛋就被搶購一空，零售蛋商的進貨量亦被限制，只得限量、分時段賣蛋。對此，行政院農委會今（28）日表示，已啟動相關因應措施，除請蛋雞業者積極提高生產量，過年期間也持續生產外，並協調加工業者及蛋商釋出庫存優先供應民生所需。目前國內雞蛋生產每日可達2,100萬顆，再加上每天調度80萬顆以上庫存增供傳統市場及10萬顆以上增供超市通路，全力確保消費者需求。
農委會表示，從今天開始到除夕前，是國人採辦年貨的最高峰，為因應市場熱絡需求，該會已協調國內主要蛋品業者及大型食品加工業者，以每天4,000箱（80萬顆）以上的規模釋出庫存，增供傳統市場散蛋通路；另請蛋品業者除依原有契約確保超商、超市、賣場等通路之供應外，另調度每天1萬盒（10萬顆）以上加量供給，確保除夕前消費者所需雞蛋供應無虞。
農委會指出，年後市場消費及加工需求通常均會趨緩，雞蛋供應可望逐漸恢復正常。針對年後可能之雞蛋需求，該會亦已評估國內生產不足數量，規劃自國外短期採購補足需求。
農委會強調，雞蛋為國人重要民生物品，又是很方便食用之優良動物蛋白質來源，該會已密切監控產銷供應情形，並專案成立雞蛋調度平台，將適時運用各項產銷調節措施，全力供應消費者所需。
農委會呼籲，食用雞蛋講究新鮮，不宜久放，請消費者單次購買所需數量即可，不必恐慌囤積，消費者可至傳統市場選購散蛋，或至超市量販等通路購買盒裝品牌蛋，該會將維持各通路貨源持續穩定供應。
