老歌亂談(894)(I Believe) There's Nothing Stronger Than Our Love

Paul Anka在15歲時 (1957) 即以自己譜寫的《Diana》一曲成名，之後接著推出多首的熱門曲像是《Lonely Boy》、《Puppy Love》，更成為青少年的偶像。但自60年代中期起，也因受到大批英國樂團及歌手進入美國流行音樂市場的影響，一直未有排行榜前20名的佳作歌曲，直至1974才終於以一首《(You're) Having My Baby》，再嚐到榮登冠軍曲寶座的滋味。而該曲是意外的和女歌手Odia Coates合唱，既然效果奇佳，當然是要乘勝追擊，次年 (1975) 倆人再推出合唱曲《I Don't Like to Sleep Alone》及此首《(I Beleave) There's Nothing Stronger Than Our Love》等，成績果然也頗亮眼，分獲排行榜第8及第15名。

雖然說「歌曲就只是歌曲」，但若內容與演唱者的現實情況有所落差，則歌曲的「感動度」多少會被打些折扣。Paul Anka發行此曲時，尚身處第一段婚姻，妻子Anne de Zogheb是位黎巴嫩外交官的女兒，同時也是位模特兒，具有黎巴嫩、英國、法國、荷蘭和希臘的血統，倆人共生了五個女兒，在結婚了38年後，終於還是在2001離異。2008，Paul Anka與小他30歲曾當選過瑞典小姐亞軍、後受聘為他私人健身教練的AnnaÅberg結婚，已67歲的Anka老當益壯，終於生了個兒子，但此婚姻只維繫了兩年 ( 加在有拿到兒子的監護權 )。更猛的是，75歲的Anka梅開三度，2016在比佛利山莊的四季酒店與交往了6年的女友Lisa Pemberton結婚。呵呵！There's Nothing Stronger Than Our Love。
