－ What You Can Expect －
The tour begins with pick up from Sydney before heading into the New South Wales countryside. Approximately 90 minutes away is the charming village of Leura. The Blue Mountains village perfectly captures the spirit of the region – fresh mountain air and stunning scenery. The pretty, tree-lined main street is great for browsing through antique shops, art galleries and bookstores – before enjoying complimentary morning tea at a cafe.
One of the most spectacular landmarks in the Blue Mountains, the Three Sisters are a gigantic and unusual rock formation located at Echo Point Katoomba. According to Aboriginal legend, the rocks represent three sisters who were turned to stone by a witchdoctor. Each of these sisters stand at over 900 meters tall.
Scenic World is the ideal location for the full Blue Mountains experience. It contains Australia』s longest elevated boardwalk, highest cable car and the world』s steepest train. All these serve to complement the breathtaking panoramic views of the region』s dramatic cliffs, deep canyons and lush vegetation, in particular, the eucalyptus trees. Additionally, look out for rock paintings, carvings and other evidence of the Gundungurra people who inhabited in the region thousands of years ago.
Enjoy a hearty lunch on the large open veranda at Conservation Hut Cafe at Wentworth Falls and take in picturesque, sweeping views of surrounding valleys and creeks.
At the award-winning Featherdale Wildlife Park, visitors can discover over three hundred species of Australia』s diverse wildlife in a natural bush setting. Among the number of fantastic hands on experiences on offer include, feeding a kangaroo, wallaby or emu and enjoying a face-to-face encounter with one of the adorable koalas. Featherdale boasts one of Australia』s largest private collections of native animals and bird life.
－Parramatta River Cruise Option－
Avoid the traffic and cruise back to Sydney』s iconic harbour on the Parramatta River Cruise. Sydney』s very first ferry service was down the Parramatta River and this route takes passengers on a relaxing journey past charming waterside suburbs and scenery. On arrival at Sydney you』ll cruise under Sydney Harbour Bridge and past Sydney Opera House before docking at Circular Bay.
