whilst accepting the award for excellent lead actor in a miniseries or film at the Emmy Awards on Sunday night.

Douglas, 68, was honored for his portrayal of Liberace in the HBO biopic, "Powering the Cadelabra," and when he hit the stage he instantly gave a shoutout to his co-star Matt Damon, forty two, who plays his lover Scott Thorson in the film.

Douglas joked, "Matt, you're only as great... as your other fifty percent...This is a two-hander and Matt, you're only as great as your other hand," Douglas went on to say, while pointing to the statuette, "Matt, you should have fifty percent of this. You want the bottom or the leading?"

Then he got serious. Douglas stated the film's script was one of the very best he's ever seen, and praised director Steven Soderbergh's difficult function on the movie (for which Soderbergh also gained an Emmy).

Douglas also thanked his spouse, Catherine Zeta-Jones, which may have come cheap bridesmaid dress as a shock to some. The two recently announced they were using some time aside to evaluate their relationship. Although Zeta-Jones didn't accompany Douglas to the ceremony, he was noticed wearing his wedding ceremony ring at the gala.

Douglas didn't depart the phase without recognizing his children, including his son Cameron Douglas, who's serving time behind black bridesmaid dresses bars on a drug sentence.

"And a shout-out to my oldest son Cameron, but ideally I will be able to see him soon," Douglas said.

Backstage at the Emmys, Douglas opened up more about the standing of his relationship to Zeta-Jones, telling "Entertainment Tonight's" Nancy bridesmaid dresses australia O'Dell, "Everybody is fine. Absolutely nothing truly more to say. We had been just taking a little break. We are speaking. I think everything will be good and I'm extremely hopeful."
