具有23年曆史的文化盛事溫哥華「台灣文化節」

1日在溫市美術館廣場隆重揭幕，如同每年的開幕式，

冠蓋雲集，包括來數十位本地的三級政要、

社團代表熱烈參與之外，

中華民國駐加拿大代表劉志攻及文化部長龍應台亦出席緻詞。

三級政要及社團代表，包括聯邦長者事務部國務部長黃陳小萍、

卑詩新民主黨黨魁狄德安、多名省議員和市議員、

駐溫哥華台北經濟文化辦事處處長曾永光伉俪及多位僑社代表。

1日上午11時，在秋高氣爽，陽光和煦中，

溫哥華台灣文化節 龍應台現身

主持人宣布儀式開始，聯邦長者事務部國務部長黃陳小萍首先受邀上台。

黃陳小萍代表總理哈珀及移民部長康尼緻詞祝賀：

「台灣文化節經過23年的努力，成爲加拿最好和最有聲望的活動之一，

它足以提供人們，經由此活動觀察體驗加拿大多元文化精神的重要傳統。」

特别在北美的訪問行程中安排參加台灣文化節的龍應台表示，

首先感謝現場參加活動的貴賓和義工，并邀請民衆：

「假若大家在台灣文化節感覺不過瘾，或是愛上台灣文化，

在台灣2300萬人民之中，有許多的藝術家、文學家、

美食及各主文化活動，歡迎大家到台灣親身體驗。」

劉志攻則接續緻詞：「台灣文化節爲加拿大最重要、

成功的文化活動，

它延續了台灣每年有400萬人參與義工活動的精神，

每年有千位義工參與活動的零垃圾環保工作，

也推廣綠色生活，此外，

台灣文化節更展現了台灣因自由與民主所孕育的獨一無二創意。」

劉志攻及曾永光則在會後都表示，

台灣文化節雖在精緻上仍有努力空間，

但是做爲長期提供加拿大和國際了解台灣文化的努力和成就，

政府将持續支持活動。
