TaiwanFest: Taiwan Festival on Granville

Vancouver's diverse ethnic community provides unique cultural experiences and festivals such as TaiwanFest which celebrates Taiwanese culture music, dance, art and food over three days along Granville Street and several satellite sites across Downtown Vancouver. From the stages offering shows from traditional dances to educational puppet shows and culinary demonstrations, to RC's Taiwanese Food fair to the Formosa Mambo at the Vancouver Central Library which honours 100 years of Taiwan Music and much more, there is something for everyone at TaiwanFest!

Showcasing music, art, and food, TaiwanFest Vancouver is a celebration cuisine, lifestyle and culture. Over the Labour Day Long weekend, Downtown Vancouver will host performances (dance, music and puppet shows), RC's Taiwanese food fair, films, music at the Vancouver Central Library, a fashion show and much more! Part of the Rediscover Granville Street events, TaiwanFest promises fun and excitement for the whole family:

BMO也來宣傳信用卡 贊助 台灣文化節

夜晚人潮仍持續著 這次辦在市區是對的~

 

UBC 的淨心社用義賣方式  所有人員都是義工 ~

蚵仔煎賣到洗蚵仔都來不及~隊伍長又長

在加拿大求學年輕的一代 為台灣文化節付出 無怨無悔

有些學生 即使已經畢業 都還是回來幫忙 ~

精神可嘉 ~記得為這群UBC的淨心社義工打氣加油歐~~

 

 

女兒是社團幹部  這三天每天都得站上12小時以上

第一天就累得哇哇叫~(當然只有回家叫給我聽啦!Ha~)

第二天 還是又忙又累 勉強擠出笑臉

女兒的男友也全程陪伴~

  但女兒從淨心社團中學會協調 計畫 統合 溝通與體諒

這也是凝聚他們這群優秀學生為台灣盡力的收穫~

 

 慈濟義工 為垃圾分類與環保盡一份心力~

 

台灣文化節 原住民表演唱歌 跳舞 扯鈴 等~~

台灣國旗 真美!

由礦泉水瓶 做成的衣服與毯子~

慈濟概念   將回收的可用材質做成可使用的生活相關衣物

提倡再次利用 隨身帶水瓶等觀念 希望我們的地球環境不要再惡化下去~
