"I'm With You" is a song produced by The Matrix off Avril Lavigne debut album Let Go. The Grammys Song of the Year nominee was strategically released as the third single because the team thought that the first single "Complicated" (also produced by The Matrix) would be an astonishing debut while the emotionally-stricken "I'm With You" would later show the versatility of the 'punk princess'.
The David LaChapelle-directed music video is one of those videos where singers move in slow motion but their lips are synced with the song, much like Coldplay's "Yellow" and Green Day's "American Idiot". In 2011, Rihanna's single "Cheers (Drink to That)" sampled "I'm With You" and Lavigne also appeared in its music video.
