正在巴拉圭訪問的蔡英文總統宣佈，將逐步增加巴拉圭牛肉的配額。圓山大飯店表示：未來將考慮在牛排館或自助餐廳推出巴拉圭牛肉，讓國人有機會品嚐巴拉圭風味餐。
圓山飯店指出，巴拉圭牛肉肉質口感不錯，一個月前，巴拉圭總統「卡提斯」來台下榻圓山大飯店時，圓山飯店發揮國民、美食外交，特別選用來自巴拉圭的牛排，經由主廚精巧手藝做成的「可頌牛肉三明治」，外皮酥脆的可頌夾上新鮮生菜、番茄、酸黃瓜，以及略帶嚼勁的甜美牛肉，讓「卡提斯」總統讚不絕口，甚至吃完一客後，還額外叫了兩客品嚐！卡提斯總統表示，沒想到遠道來台，飯店這麼貼心的為他準備家鄉的美食，讓他驚喜不已，也讓圓山元首級的料理受到肯定。
