Niagara-on-the-lake

Known as "The Prettiest Town in Canada", Niagara-on-the-Lake has developed into a beautiful and charming little town over the last 2 centuries. Loyalists from New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut settled Niagara-on-the-Lake after the American Revolution. They were quickly followed by settlers from the British Isles. Land grants were a major enticement to other settlers who came from America and started farms and small businesses establishing the little town.

Niagara-On-The-Lake became well known for its shipbuilding and flourished into an active commercial center. Over the last century, Niagara-on-the-Lake has become well known for its award-winning wines, which has grown substantially and put the town on the map.
