ba,ptisma是「浸」還是「洗」?

如果只是「洗」,聖經的寫作者就不會用bapti,zw,而會用lou,w或plu,nw。「洗」是舊約聖經裡很普通的觀念(特別是「利未記」見表)。如果只是「洗」,就不會造成這麼大的轟動。這說出聖經的寫作者要強調「是浸(不是洗)!」

一、
「浸」一定「洗」Act 22:16; Mar 7:4,但「洗」不一定「浸」。「浸」除了「洗」以外,還有別的目的。在上面的例子裡,「吸收」是主要目的。也有以「染色」為目的的Antiquities of the Jews 3:102。Isa 21:4 bapti,zw to cover completely ; Job 9:31 ba,ptw丟進並沒入。
二、
以上所有用例證明ba,ptw的意思是「沒入、浸泡」。
三、
聖經寫作者用的是bapti,zw而不是lou,w或plu,nw,因為約翰強調的是「浸」─一個全新的觀念。
四、
「受洗、施洗」是錯誤的翻譯,正確的翻譯是「受浸、施浸」。
五、
「浸」這個字,在全本和合本聖經裡,只用了2次。影響所及,中文聖經的讀者幾乎沒有「浸」的觀念。這是「以長者的遺傳廢了神的話」的重要例證Mar 7:13。
六、
因為沒有「浸」這個字,也沒有這個觀念,所以今天的基督徒幾乎完全不瞭解「施『浸』者約翰」的見證和職事,也完全偏離了其職事的核心 ─浸。
