Deuteronomy 18:9-14 9 ¶ "When you enter the land which the LORD your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the detestable things of those nations. 10 "There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination（占卜、算命、星座、看相）, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens（觀兆）, or a sorcerer（邪術）, 11 or one who casts a spell（符咒）, or a medium（靈媒）, or a spiritist（交鬼）, or one who calls up the dead（還陽）. 12 "For whoever does these things is detestable to the LORD; and because of these detestable things the LORD your God will drive them out before you. 13 "You shall be blameless before the LORD your God. 14 "For those nations, which you shall dispossess, listen to those who practice witchcraft and to diviners, but as for you, the LORD your God has not allowed you to do so.
這樣的事都是迦南人所做的，為神所憎惡，所以神把他們趕出迦南地。
Ezra 9:11-12 11 which You have commanded by Your servants the prophets, saying, 'The land which you are entering to possess is an unclean land （污穢之地）with the uncleanness of the peoples of the lands, with their abominations which have filled it from end to end and with their impurity. 12 'So now do not give your daughters to their sons nor take their daughters to your sons, and never seek their peace or their prosperity, that you may be strong and eat the good things of the land and leave it as an inheritance to your sons forever.'
迦南地是一塊「污穢之地」。迦南人的污穢把迦南地「全境」都污穢了。
Exodus 22:20 20 ¶ "He who sacrifices to any god, other than to the LORD alone, shall be utterly destroyed. NAU Psalm 106:38 And shed innocent blood, The blood of their sons and their daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with the blood. NAU Deuteronomy 7:5 "But thus you shall do to them: you shall tear down their altars, and smash their sacred pillars, and hew down their Asherim, and burn their graven images with fire. NAU 2 Kings 10:27 They also broke down the sacred pillar of Baal and broke down the house of Baal, and made it a latrine（ha'r'x]m; < ar,x, dung）to this day.
向偶像假神獻祭的人要被滅絕。（「廟會」、「鹿港小鎮」，對很多人是「親切的」所謂的「民俗（鄉土）文化」）
Leviticus 18:24-30 24 ¶ 'Do not defile yourselves by any of these things（各樣的淫亂）; for by all these the nations which I am casting out before you have become defiled. 25 'For the land has become defiled, therefore I have brought its punishment upon it, so the land has spewed out its inhabitants. 26 'But as for you, you are to keep My statutes and My judgments and shall not do any of these abominations, neither the native, nor the alien who sojourns among you 27 (for the men of the land who have been before you have done all these abominations, and the land has become defiled); 28 so that the land will not spew you out, should you defile it, as it has spewed out the nation which has been before you. 29 'For whoever does any of these abominations, those persons who do so shall be cut off from among their people. 30 'Thus you are to keep My charge, that you do not practice any of the abominable customs（可憎的「習俗、民風、文化、民俗」） which have been practiced before you, so as not to defile yourselves with them; I am the LORD your God.'"
迦南人行耶和華憎惡的事，污穢了迦南地，迦南地將他們吐出去─被以色列人滅絕，這是耶和華的刑罰。神的刑罰，並非只在以色列人中間，而是全地的。NAU Psalm 47:2 For the LORD Most High is to be feared, A great King over all the earth.
「迦南地」屬於誰？
「申七2,4,5,23」（全章）（神命令以色列人「徹底毀滅（滅絕淨盡）」utterly destroy迦南地的人）
什麼是「滅絕淨盡」？
NAU Deuteronomy 20:16 "Only in the cities of these peoples that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, you shall not leave alive anything that breathes.
NAU Joshua 10:40 ¶ Thus Joshua struck all the land, the hill country and the Negev and the lowland and the slopes and all their kings. He left no survivor, but he utterly destroyed all who breathed, just as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded.
