The Greasy Spoon Breakfast【通霄早餐】

↑慈惠宮 (Ci Hui Temple)

 

五ㄧ是勞工界朋友們最開心的假日,今天我也放假一天 喔耶~

七點多送黃小孩去上課,我和Mick直奔苗栗,因為,今天的早餐要去通宵大開戒啦!

慈惠宮前有許多家早餐店,如正味麵店的蔥油麵、豆花、燒餅、、、,當然還有知名的三家煎包店。

煎包內包了冬粉、韭菜和絞肉,三家的差別在於麵皮和內餡的味道。

 

There are a lot of traditional breakfasts in front of Ci Hui temple in Tongsiao in Miaoli. One popular breakfast in Tangsiao is deep fried dumplings. Deep fried dumplings have leeks, green bean noodles and fried minced meat. There are three popular deep fried dumpling stores.

第一家-王家煎包(First store-Wang)

 

 

王家煎包為在慈惠宮的正對面,很多老顧客買他們家的蛋餅。不過,我們今天要來吃的是煎包。

王家煎包的外皮Q軟帶點焦脆香,一口咬下,冬粉絲吸飽絞肉的香氣,內餡充滿湯汁。

 

They have deep fried dumplings and Chinese omelets. Many people love their omelets but we tried deep fried dumplings today. Wang's deep fried dumplings are soft and spongy. When I bit into it, I felt it was juicy.

 

第二家-邱家煎包(Second store-Qiu) 

 

 

當我們走過去邱家煎包,店門口是滿滿的人潮。

好在店家動作很快,當然也可能今天是平日,所以,我們十分鐘後就拿到熱騰騰的煎包。

邱家的煎包,麵皮金黃酥脆,冬粉內餡帶點胡椒香。一拿到手就馬上食用,口感很好。不過,如果放涼了才吃,就會覺得有點油膩。

 

Qiu's batter is very crispy and rich. It's full of flavors of vegetables and fried minced meat. It's really delicious but I felt it was a bit greasy.

   

第三家-賴家煎包(Third store-Lai)

  

 

賴家煎包沒有明顯的招牌,位在邱家煎包的斜對角,很好找的。

以麵皮來說,賴家煎包的皮最薄,依稀可見裡面的韭菜內餡。咬下麵皮口感薄脆,入口充滿韭菜清香。即使放涼後在食用,也不會感到油膩,是三家中口味最清爽的煎包。

 

這一次一口氣把三家煎包都吃過一輪,每一家都有各自的擁護者。對我來說,我喜愛賴家煎包的滋味,而Mick比較喜愛邱家的麵皮酥脆和內餡。

 

Lai's batter is very thin but it's also crispy. I found Lai's deep fried dumplings had a firmer texture and I liked their sweet and special leek flavor. Lai's deep fried dumplings were my favorite.

 

  

 

接下來,我們續攤吃下一份早餐---仁愛米糕。

 

Then, we tried steamed rice.

 

仁愛米糕採用圓糯米,口感軟充滿油香滋味。淋上一小匙店家的辣椒醬,辛辣夠味道,是我的菜,不過,Mick沒有特愛仁愛的糯米口感。

 

Steamed rice includes pork and rice. The rice is soft and the sauce is both salty and sweet. I added a little hot pepper sauce, it was so spicy, but I liked it.

 

 

一次吃這麼多份早餐,已經飽了,可是看到豆花店又忍不住走進去。

 

這家阿忠豆花,會走進去是因為看到割包。雖然剛剛吃了那麼多食物,可是,還是很想來一份白胖胖的包。

 

The last traditional breakfast was steamy buns and sweet tofu.

 

 

阿忠豆花的產品項目還蠻多的,有有飯糰有紅茶奶茶薑母茶和豆花。

 

They have a lot of kinds sweet tofu, black tea, milk tea, rice balls, steamy buns and genger tea.

 

    

 

我喜歡它們家的包皮,軟Q還帶著鮮奶香,爌肉偏向客家式的鹹香,裡面還有台式的微甜酸菜,在灑上甜甜的花生粉。哈~包當然滋味無窮啦

 

Steamy buns have stewed pork, a little peanut powder and a little cilantro. It have a good texture.

   

 

現在雖然是早上九點半,可是溫度也是很熱呀。來碗綜合冰豆花,讓味蕾也涼快一下

阿忠豆花很滑嫩,粉圓Q綠豆紅豆綿密甜香,我覺得最特別的是他們用的刨冰,黑糖冰沙堆疊在豆花上,視覺上消暑,味道也棒極了。

 

Sweet tofu includes green beans, gelatin balls, red beans, black sugar sauce, tofu and ice. After I ate all this I felt full and a little gross. I ate sweet tofu and I felt it was a perfect ending. 

 

 

 

以上這幾家店家,都位在慈惠宮附近,因為都屬於早餐店,所以中午前就打烊喔。想要過去品嘗通霄小吃的朋友們,請牢記早起的人兒才有通霄美食吃喔

This was a really a big meal and this was a very tasty breakfast. These foods are all very rich and heavy in taste so I share them with Mick. After I ate everything, I definitely had the energy to do anything before lunch. Early one morning, you should check out these breakfast places in Tongsia.

現場吃真的很酥很香,
難怪大家到通霄都要吃這道小吃!
